Thank you so much for your continuing support of our cause, and for the always-generous donations to Toys for Tots.  We feel blessed to be a part of such an amazing organization each year, and we greatly appreciate all that has been given to help such a worthy cause.  

We give our time and our talents each year to help make this possible, but right now, it is our family who is in need of help.  

We have been trying to have a baby for a few years now.  Unfortunately we have not had any success.  While I wish we had good news and could say we are expecting, unfortunately we are not.  Over the past few months, we have both undergone many tests to see if something is wrong.  The tests have shown that there is a serious issue that prevents us from having children without the help of a doctor.  

Some may ask why we are making this information public like this.  It really comes down to the fact that we believe that friends and family are the best source of support when times are hard.  Just as we are there for our friends and family when they need us, we know you all are there to help and support us too.  

Will we be able to have children?  Yes, but it won’t be easy, and it won’t be possible without the help of a fertility doctor and a large sum of money.  Our insurance doesn’t cover any of the IVF treatments.  While researching options for what we can do to pay for this, we came across a recommendation to set up a fundraising site to help offset some of the medical expenses ($10,000-20,000).  We have done just that, and it can be found at http://www.giveforward.com/samandkenny.  We graciously accept and appreciate any help that is given, and will not be hurt if no one gives anything at all.  We know that some can give, and others cannot.  If you can help by sharing this with others, that would also be immensely helpful to us.  

Thank you again for all your love and support of us over the years.  We truly believe that God will provide us with a child one way or another, and we want our friends and family with us, every step of that journey.
